But that's a student in my class. I'd think they'd be at least a little bit more professional.

Earlier in the evening, Vancouver-based Sarah McLachlan received the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award for her two decades of work with WorldVision, among other charities, and then sat down at the piano to play three songs on her own – Loving You Is Easy, Forgiveness, and crowd favourite Angel.

Sarah McLachlan is one of 10 people set to receive honorary degrees this year from Simon Fraser University (British Columbia).
