I told a student in my class that I saw Sarah over the break, and he wrote her last name down like that. When I told him it was written wrong, he said, "Close enough!"

But that's a student in my class. I'd think they'd be at least a little bit more professional.

Bachman&Turner/McLachlan honored during CMW

Earlier in the evening, Vancouver-based Sarah McLachlan received the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award for her two decades of work with WorldVision, among other charities, and then sat down at the piano to play three songs on her own – Loving You Is Easy, Forgiveness, and crowd favourite Angel.

The degree of Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa, will be conferred on Ms. McLachlan on Wednesday, June 15 at the 9:45 am ceremony.
