Black and white photography has this ability to distill a sense of character, of looking within the subject to probe the deeper personality underneath, that color photography doesn't. Is it because the color is distracting, while the sharpness (or sometimes the softness) of the black and white image focuses us on the message of the picture, not just on its visual appeal?

Good studies like this give one a sense of knowing what the person is thinking, not just seeing them sitting there. So what do you sense she was thinking, Karine? Your move!

Ah yes, I'm sorry, I downloaded it on June 17th and forgot to put the link here.

It's a picture by Kharen Hill (http://tctrail.ca/assets/Uploads/McLach ... n-Hill.jpg), but I'm not sure about the date.
In my files and in my download history, it has the following name:
2013P_SarahMclachlanKharenHill_Music_2xafterglow-copy1

It's weird, because it's different now (the file name is just Sarah-McLachlan-1024x1024). I tried to see if I renamed the file accidentally, but I can't tell. It's obviously not an Afterglow picture, but I'm not sure if 2013 is the right year.
