Classic Christmas Album release

Post by Miguel » Mon Aug 31, 2015 4:15 pm

Legacy Recordings is releasing a repackaged version of Wintersong under their "Classic Christmas Album" series on October 2nd.

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases ... 34952.html

Some other sites lists "Ordinary Miracle" and "Touch", we'll find out soon enough! They should've included the Canadian Tenors' version of "Wintersong" as it included Sarah.

2. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
3. What Child Is This? (Greensleeves)
4. I'll Be Home for Christmas
5. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings (with Barenaked Ladies)
6. Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
7. Prayer of St. Francis (featuring The Sarah McLachlan School of Music Choir)
8. I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
9. Space On the Couch for Two (featuring The Sarah McLachlan School of Music Choir)
10. Find Your Voice (featuring The Sarah McLachlan School of Music Choir)
11. River
12. Silent Night
13. O Little Town of Bethlehem
14. The First Noel/Mary Mary
15. Song for a Winter's Night
16. In a Bleak Mid Winter
17. Christmas Time is Here

Really? When did she mention that?

A new album would be great, I wouldn't mind an EP either. I think they should have waited for this release until next year when it would have been 10 years 8-)

Yes, she talked about recording a new Christmas album:
“I’m going to probably put out another Christmas record at some point, so I’m going to start compiling songs for that and figure out how to produce them. But again, that’s all from home,” she said.

“And a Christmas record is a very short window, so even if I do go out and promote it, a tour would be like six weeks.”

Thanks! Maybe I shouldn't have read that article. Too depressing! "New Sarah McLachlan album 2020"? :? :x

But she said she'll put out stuff little by little, so there's some hope, lol

It sounds more like 2025, from what she says about staying home until both her kids are out of high school, Miquel.

But maybe the occasional single on iTunes is the model now, anyway. Maybe she will do solo performances on Twitter, or something like that, from home. A "virtual" concert even. ;)

If it's a gap as long as Afterglow - Laws of Illusion with something in between, I probably wouldn't mind, but I'll miss her

Also, found the cover of the album on ebay

She looks kind of wistful. A nice picture, though. :)
