I guess this was an early version of what we now call emoticons, back when it was evidently really geeky to do this sort of thing.
So just for grins, if I understand this correctly, I can admit to being described somewhat thusly:
FuA/FuN/, a+++, C+, *p, b+++ (not Sarah, but Jethro Tull ) The "A" in the first group was not on the list, but denotes aviation.
So anyone can have a "secret handshake" with their own variations on this.
There's a lot of mostly young-adult lifestyle stuff in there, probably typical of her general audience in the Nineties.
