For my 1000th post, I wanted to write about one of the things I like the most... pictures!

I have something new, something "Getty" new.

Two weeks ago, Getty Images added a new feature on their website.

But this week the photography company is embarking on a different strategy: Anyone can now visit its website, grab some embed code, and display an image on blogs and social media pages without paying a licensing fee.

Most of the pictures have that new feature (but not the Contour ones, for example).

It looks like this:

and this is what it gives you:

No more watermarks, as long as you use the code with the Getty images reference.

Hey, I just saw I got promoted, too. I'm "Full of Grace". Funny, since I've been obsessed with this song lately, and the earlier "Fall From Grace" version as well.
