On Feb. 10th, singer Sarah McLachlan will headline the eighth annual Looking Glass Foundation Gala at the Rocky Mountaineer Station. The dinner and auction will benefit The Woodstone treatment centre on Galiano Island.

Sarah wrote a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper about seal hunting:

Thanks for the info Karine. However, as a Canadian citizen, I know as well as you, that this type of hunting will never stop. It has been a way of life for so many years that I have stopped counting. Whether it be Sarah or some other person who takes time to write the Prime Minister a letter, the fact remains, it will always fall on dead ears.I too, find this type of slaughter to be terrible and cruel but the fact remains, there is a market out there that excels to this business in hand. That is the way of the world and we all, are in it's grippe.
