The new album

Post by Quincy » Mon Feb 22, 2010 10:59 pm

So, What's the latest on this new album? When are we going to see it in the shops? (I'm sure in the UK it'll be 9 months after everybody else!!)
SMcL originally started writing new material before she was "Knocked up" 3 years ago. It was then Feb/March this year, then April, then July.

Any ideas....anybody......just shout if you know anything!

in an interview i believe it was , christ awhile ago now. i think she said something should be out in 2010 and its clicking in my mind she said april. i think jessel was thinking the same thing too.

i want something out before lilith just so i have some sarah to hold me over until i get to see her, but then again i think it would be cool if she did her own solo tour for the new album.

i dont know if she will be up for doing lilith and a solo tour though.. i guess we'll just have to wait and see...which sucks the whole waiting deal. hopefully we'll hear something soon :)

The Yamaha article originally said April 2010 or was in actually 'Spring'? Then a couple of months ago when the new Lilith news was released, they said June. So I'm thinking some time during the Summer (in the Northern hemisphere as to not confuse those living in the Southern ;) )

I just don't see the new album being released later than 2010. It's just impossible, so definitely this year. And I'm thinking Lilith first, have a couple of months off, and then she starts her solo tour. Perhaps have another run at Lilith in Summer of 2011. One leg of Lilith wouldn't be enough.

I think some of the promotional stuff will happen towards the end of or beginning of her daughters' school vacation. Since Ash is no longer drumming for Sarah someone needs to be there for her children. Who knows what he is doing musically these days. I know Melissa Etheridge who also is coming out with a new album will tour this summer because of school and her kids. I hope news comes either before the dates of Lilith surface. I too want a solo show.
To fall so deep into you
Lose myself completely
In your sweet embrace
All my pains erased

And your mouth is all that I wish
Mercy of your lips
Just one kiss
Until I can breathe again
Until I can sing again

‘Cause I'm a trainwreck
Waiting to happen
Waiting for someone to come
Pick me up off the tracks
The wildfire born of frustration
Born of the one love that gets me so high
I've no fear at all

I'm sure she'll release her new album this year. She said it many times, also on tv at Canada Day. She played one new song ("Loving You Is Easy") in festivals. I don't think she'll wait for 2011 before releasing the record.

I just read an article with Sarah that says she is still writing the record.

Yeah, that's it! She said something like that. But if she's still in the process of writing (and rewriting) then it might not come out this year. Probably by next year or the year after...

Mmmm...., it's good to know she's working on it, but if she's still writing it probably means it will not be ready for release any time soon :(
Let's hope were wrong and it will come soon ;)

:P Now here is the information that I have on this new album. yes, it will come out this year and around the time of Lillith as she can promote her new songs as she goes her her tour. There is no solo tour but the Lillith Tour is the one that will be the solo if you can get that. She will not do every city that has been mentioned but in some cases, she will make appearances and help showcase the other talent. Don't forget, Lillith is about female talent and not just Sarah. We, up here in Canada, are lucky enough to get Sarah in all the Canadian cities as it is her backyard so to speak. She will make rounds in the upper United States and selected cities in and around the country. However, family and other personal issues are involved to the point that time is a key factor to her participation in the event. I am honestly sorry to tell you all this but it is an issue that you must realize. I know she will do her best but as all the other artists too, they simply cannot do all the cities at the same time. Some will do certain venues and others will pick up from there. I know we all LOVE Sarah and want to see her so much. With luck, you will get to. :P

Thank you for that info Wolfman, it'll prove the doubters wrong!! And I mean that in the nicest way :) It's very much appreciated.

This is her year people, there's no reason to believe she won't release a new album. Sure she takes her time. Writing (music AND words) may take a while but recording, producing, mixing will be done in less than a month, no doubt.

I am, however, sad she might not do a solo tour right away.
