Stevie Nicks
So Miss Nicks seems to be working on a new solo album according to Dave Stewart's (of the Eurythmics) Twitter.
So far he's given us a clip of this demo:

This will be her first solo album since 2001's Trouble in Shangri-la and Fleetwood Mac's Say You Will in 2003. I'm excitied!

Did you know that she is about 50 now. Her voice is not what it was but still acceptable. I guess many artists today are trying to stay as long as they can. I always liked her as with Blondie. However, I don't know about this.

Trailer for In Your Dreams. Dear god, I cannot wait for this album. Dave Stewart is a genius. Vampires, Edgar Allan Poe, horses... and the gothic imagery, HOLY. <3 May 3rd cannot come soon enough!

Hmm. Nice album cover and she looks pretty. Not keen on the spoken-word interludes (if they're on the album). And the music seems kinda middle of the road, just given the lavish look of everything.
I dunno. She's been around long enough that I tend to hope she'll be sort of evocative...like a sage or goddess
And there's a way to achieve that image. But it's not the disney-esque Sarah Brightman way. And it's probably not even the Kate Bush way (that Elvis video...lolol) etc.
I'll remain hopeful.

Florence Welch pays tribute to Stevie in the new issue of Rolling Stone:
After reading it, let's just say I knew it!

"This video is not available in your region" (that's what it says for me). Bummer. I can't find it on youtube either.
Do you know if it's up anywhere else?
Thanks for the Rolling Stone article too btw.

Gosh, I can't stop watching it. It's definitely my favorite video from her (previously it was the TiSL videos). It screams vintage Stevie. I love the baton twirling (very Tusk era) and the end when she vanishes into dust/glitter.

Thanks for that Youtube link. I posted my thoughts on my blog. I liked it too (though probably not as much as you), I think it's a really nice piece of work and a good song.
