My favorite line in the song is "in that stillness there was a freedom I never felt before"

im a big fan of this song, and this lyric part:

"...I used to think my life
Was often empty
A lonely space to fill..."

I'm not sure what this song is about (a relationship, a war torn country-not sure) but this is a sad, but beautiful song. There's such longing and despir in her voice at times. To me, the verses are much better than the chorus. I'm not a big fan of the male backing vocals here-I don't think they compliment her or the song. My favorite part though is the bridge - so beautiful and emotional. I'd like to hear this live again-I think it would work well with World On Fire.

Favorite lyric: That sea of shallow faces masked in warm regret
Favorite Musical Part: The guitar in the beginning
Favorite Vocal Part: The bridge (all of it)

Sarah once mentioned that this song is about the decline of the American empire...

This is def one of my favorite songs from Solace. The way Sarah conveyed the feeling of despair, hopelessness, and longing is spot on. This is one of those songs I can listen to time and again without getting tired of it.

My favorite line:
"Lost in the darkness of the land, memories of being taken by the hand..."
One little leaf adrift in the breeze, refuses to fall from the sky
Blown by the wind it clings to the tree, unwilling to wither and die...

I adore Lost. I can play it on piano, and it's as equally beautiful. :)

I love this song so much. It's so haunting. I think Sarah's vocals are really top notch on this song.
Favorite lyrics "I feel there's nothing left to fight for, no reason for a cause."
@Caleb Where did you find the sheet music for this?! I want it :)

Lost is such a beautiful yet sad song, I love it <3

@Mooncrown: I have to disagree with you, I really like the male vocals on the song, they complete it. Just my opinion though ;)

No problem Danvy-no offence taken! That's part of the beauty of doing this-hearing different opinions and maybe seeing things in a new light. Thanks for playing :)
