The girls never discovered me in the wings of the gymnasium, where I had found an old upright piano. I hid there at recess and lunch, playing that ancient instrument, consoling and healing myself. With music, I didn’t feel alone.

I've just been cleaning out all of the crap in my email accounts and I found 2 from www.sarahmclachlan.com, which came earlier this year, asking for donations to her school of music. In return a lucky winner would could spend a day with Sarah. With everything going on at that moment this appeal simply didn't register. So, was this a genuine promotion, or, was it a scam?
I haven't seen any mention in the board about this, and it's just peaked my interest. I'm getting a lot of scam emails and phone calls lately, some of which are laughable, some quite good. Was this a good scam?

I don't remember seeing anything about it. If the email was really taking you to the school website, it's probably real, but usually, when there's a donation campaign or something, it's mentioned on SM's Facebook page, or on Twitter.

Hi everybody,
Just listened to a podcast I downloaded last year, it's called "soul force politics" its episode 19 you'll need to pull out.
It's well worth listening to. There's another that I heard just before Christmas, something along the lines of "the lost word". It featured a talk with Don Henley first and then a late '90's interview with SMcL, again, pretty good.
I'll try to find it again if necessary and let you know.
