is anyone from here involved in the community/message board they have over there? i posted a few times but its kind of dull for everytime i log on there are "226" fans online. lol

^^ Judging from what you said, the official message board seems superficial as a whole. There is another Sarah forum but it's not much fun at all: cliques, "I'm-a-better-fan-than-you"/holier-than-thou attitudes, and the occasional condescending bs from some "hardcore" fans. But that's another story...

Having said that, I should say this is the best Sarah fan site ever! (and Sarahboards).

Some people live in Canada or in the USA and are able to see concerts but others live elsewhere and can't travel. There are people who have enough money to buy stuff like a t-shirt or a magazine featuring Sarah but others bought only the albums. There are also thousands of people who are not in a community like us and these are amazing fans too!
It's sad to know that some fans think they are better than other. I'm sure Sarah would disagree!

The music and how we connect to it should be all that matters. Sarah's music helped me through a dark time in my life and that matters more to me than havig seen her in concert, even though that was amazing. <3

It's sad how many fans are out there that aren't too vocal or don't participate in message boards (though that can be a bad thing too!). One time I saw over 1,000 fans online...quite a sight to see.

If more fans participated (and Sarah didn't take that long to put out albums), we wouldn't have seen the dissolution of the fan club and exclusive items. I would definitely have been a part of it and pay for first dibs for concert tickets, newsletters and other exclusive offerings.

As for the "community" over at SMcL.com, it frightens me quite a bit and makes me glad I visit this one.

Yeah, it's sad that some people sink that low. I simply don't buy the bs that fans can be labelled as "hardcore" or "occasional" or whatever. You're a fan or you're not, you don't need a license. Anyway, Sarah fans are generally a nicer breed. I'm quite glad of the fact that Sarah is not the type of artist who attract sickos

Mental note: I'll visit the official message board sometime just to observe.
