Isn't she amazing?! I bought her album last summer, and although it took a few listens to REALLY get into it, "Lungs" is one of my favourite albums. She has such an unbelievable voice!

... and I'm going to see her live when she play in Vancouver on April 14th!

I think Florence has an amazing voice and has some really good songwriting skills but as I said on the old boards I really don't like Kiss With A Fist because the lyrics are violent and nihilistic for me. While I love songs that deal with dark subjects I find her portyal of violence in the song too much because it seems shes saying its okay in certain situations when I don't agree with that idea at all.

I'm glad you dig Florence though. I know a lot of people at Sarahboards got into her because of Magellan, but I waited for that to cool down before I gave her a chance. She's fab.

Magellan....I remember that guy. He used to raaaaave about Florence, and Bat For Lashes, and other people.

Nice to know I sorta started something

After some time away, I went looking for sarahboards.com the other day and found...nothing but a deserted town, with shutters flapping in the breeze and tumbleweeds blowing by...

For days (actually minutes, but days sounds more dramatic) I wandered the internet, wondering if I was the last Sarah fan on Earth...

Then I found a scrap of paper in the sand that simply said "There's a better place than here", along with a secret cryptic map tattooed on the back of a small child that supposedly showed the directions to "Dry Land"...(wait, that's the plot from Waterworld)....
