Back Door Man is an amazing song!
You know its so sad that Sarah dosn't perform songs from Solace anymore. I would die of happiness to hear I will Not Forget You live.... *dreamy*

As I said earlier "Mercy" just shades it for me, but "Back door man" is definitely in second place. It's an excellent live track.ecstasythrumusic wrote:Does anybody like Backdoor Man?

^^ I agree. I don't like the album version, but I like every live Back Door Man performance I heard so far.

I think Solace is one of my favorites because it's mostly a vocal album, for me anyway. Like, on Mercy, there is hardly any instruments, just her voice and harmonies. It gives me chills. I Will Not Forget You is also one of my favorites because of that little vocal riff on 'i was so scared' at the very beginning of the song. I wish she would let her self go vocally more on her albums now, sort of the way she does live. She has said before that the little vocal imperfections, like cracks or what have you, can be what really makes a performance.

I agree. I've always thought that Solace was her best record vocally.Blackangel12868 wrote:I think Solace is one of my favorites because it's mostly a vocal album, for me anyway. FTE, then Solace in that order. That is the best of Sarah, so far.

Into The Fire is such a great song. As is Home, The Path Of Thorns, and Black.
Also, I know it wasn't included on the original LP, but Sarah's cover of Wear Your Love Like Heaven is so beautiful.

Wear Your Love was released on every Arista printed disc around the world except in Canada, since Nettwerk prints the albums there. Sarah refused to have the song on there but eventually gave in
