What a beautiful song. I have been following this forum for quite a while and felt joining it now that she's releasing such a promising sounding record.
I can't say whether I prefer the studio or the acoustic version. BTW - is anybody able to rip the sound of the video so I can add the acoustic version to my iTunes-collection in high quality?

As for the song... I'm speechless. That is how good the song is. I can't remember the last time I just fell in love with a song like this on my first listen. And Sarah is so beautiful in the video.

The song is so perfect. I also fell in love instantly with the song, I can't stop listening to it. It's so good to notice how Sarah puts herself in her songs, I can feel that she's there with body and soul...

So I finally succumbed to temptation (pun intended) and watched the acoustic in-studio performance (thanks for posting Caleb!) and I like it, at least lyrically. It's not a particularly strong track imho but the message is spot on, and that's all I care about. I really like the chorus part even though I can't relate to it emotionally:
And you ask for forgiveness, you’re asking too much
I have sheltered my heart in a place you can’t touch.
Don’t believe when you tell me your love is real,
cuz you don’t know much about heaven boy if you have to hurt to feel

Obviously, disillusionment (or disenchantment, call it what you want) is the theme of the entire album and I think I'm gonna love all the songs in it! Sarah looks so sad in the video and it's almost painful to watch.

Firstly, Many thanks to Miguel for the download, it was worth it. I like the song tremendously, it's what I would have expected from SMcL given the title of the song. It's encouraging for the rest of the album. The last thing I wanted was to get the album and be disappointed, yes I know that attitude is defeatist but still, it was in my mind. I have to disagree with Jessel (Sorry mate!) but I think it is a strong track and can, and will, stand on it's own merits. (Bet your glad that you did relent now and listened, I know I am.)
