Kate is a brilliant singer from our land down under. Brilliant voice and a quirky sense of humour which shows through some of her songs and live performances. I am yet to see her live but cannot wait for when she comes back to Australia to perform in the Taste of Lilith shows, can't wait for Sarah either!
I really suggest people to take a look at her music. Some really good songs I recommend are
Caught in the Crowd and
The Last Day on Earth.
Ok, here are some videos

Good call. I adore "Caught In The Crowd", and I think that's her most popular track so far

Totally agree. I've actually been listening to Kate's last album a bit more, recently. And she's better than I originally thought...some very witty lyrics and great melodies there. I laughed out loud a few times too.
This is the most recent album "Curiouser". It is definitely worth a try for Sarah fans.

Maybe this is what you get if you cross Bjork with Sandy Denny and Sarah Blasko. She writes some great songs that fit in well with her voice, which although a little high pitched and light, is still very good.
When I first heard "Fire And Iron" the final studio track on her latest album "Nightflight," my ears pricked up immediately. There are some good tracks on there but this one sounded like it could be something in another class altogether. Second time I heard it, my jaw hit the table. Up there with the beauty of Denny or McLachlan. Overall a very good album. Don't know why "Fire And Iron" grabbed me like it did, but it was one of those glorious moments when you know not all the great songs have been written, and you've just heard one you will love all your life.

Saw the wonderful KMH this evening at St Pancras Old Church. Doors were supposed to open at 7pm but didn't open until 7.30. Capacity 120 and sold out.
Possibly the worst venue I have ever been in. No toilets/restrooms or whatever you want to call them so had to use portaloos outside. Experience may leave me mentally scarred.
The most uncomfortable seats I have sat in for 40 years. No legroom, no room. Back ache, arse ache, shoulder ache.
It was KMH (on an occasional keyboard) plus hubby on guitar. It was great to finally get to hear her live, although it would be nice to see her play in a genuine venue with a band.
All worth it to hear that voice, and she stayed at the end to sign cd's.

A link to her latest single, the European version of "Share Your Air." Really beautiful track.
