Not sure if there are any Sheryl fans, but I like her new song...and it's laid back, summery feel. Nice to see another 90s female singer-songwriter (i.e. Sarah's era) still going strong....

Sheryl Crow
Re: Sheryl Crow
I loved her first 3 albums. I lost interest after the The Globe Sessions.
Though this new song is too "feel-good" for me lol. Maybe there are some interesting stuff in her new album. Gotta check it out first...

Re: Sheryl Crow
I like alot of her songs from the 90s (Strong Enough is one of the best songs ever) but I'm not as keen on her latest stuff. I guess I have some werid 90s bias with quite a few artists!
Re: Sheryl Crow
Not much love for Sheryl, hey?
Ah well. I just finished listening to the whole album.
While I am far more a downbeat music listener too, I have to say I quite like "Summer Day".
The album also contains at least two rather excellent covers (that I knew)
- "Sign Your Name" (the Terence Trent D'arby song)
- "I Want You Back" (the old Jackson 5 song)
Both are really excellent. Sheryl even sounds quite like a little Michael Jackson on the latter And that is such a brilliant song. As soon as it starts up, I defy any living human to not like it.
You can hear the whole album here (and if you catch the files, they'll go straight on your ipod with the correct artist/name/tracknumber too)

Re: Sheryl Crow
I love Sheryl Crow! She's a legend, IMO, and has always put out great albums.
Have you heard the unreleased "Debut" album? She had a debut album that was finished, but was put on the shelf because it was 'too uncommercial.' Instead, "Tuesday Night Music Club" was released.
I'd say that her unreleased album is just as good as the other 7 albums she's released. Hopefully it'll one day get a proper release, instead of being bootlegged.
My favorite album from her is "The Globe Sessions." A pop rock masterpiece, IMO.
