Oh "Stay Here Forever" is a pretty sweet song! :) I also like the video, she looks very nice! *dreamy* I also like "Satisfied". I guess you shouldn't write someone off just because they are doing a genre your not a fan of eh? ;)

But as I said my favourite Jewel album will always be "Spirit" because of the sheer beauty of the songs. My favourite Jewel song being "What's Simple Is True" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U13Hx8pEtBM). The first CD by her I bought though was "This Way" and I will always love "Standing Still" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3WMMwlHgZI)

Jewel goes undercover for Funny Or Die, and dresses up as an ordinary person...then sings her own songs at a Karaoke bar and freaks people out :) Seriously the best thing I've seen for a while....

"She sounds like Jewel!"

Thanks for posting this Rob! Wow, she's still amazing live! Her voice is well-preserved. Sinead's voice nowadays makes me a little sad...

So I finally bought Jewel's "Lullaby" - an album of mostly lullabies, sung maturely though in way that adults can enjoy, not just little babies trying to go sleep ;)

And it's a pleasant listen. Quite pleasant actually.
And then, I came across one track that made me instantly hit "repeat".
If you never listen to another Jewel track, please give this a try....

Every so often, Jewel hits the mark. Never count her out :) Isn't this beautiful?

^Thanks for sharing this Rob! Wow, she still has it! This is really beautiful; simple and straightforward. I like the references to the Dali and his muse (wife). :)

I know, isn't it great? :)

What's even greater is that at first I thought that, since the album was mostly covers of lullabies, this song wasn't hers either. But actually, she wrote it.

I would rate it among her 5 best songs ever. We tend to think of Jewel's best work as being behind her - back in the folk era, when she was a chart topper. And I had almost zero hopes for the Lullaby album. But I'm glad I've kept following her.

Also, she performed at the emmys too, last week. Nice work...

I can't believe I'm about 6/7 years younger than this woman!

I really like Jewel. :) She reminds me of a modern Melanie, or Carly Simon...that kind of singer/songwriter whose lyrics are introspective and interesting. Interestingly enough, I also place Sarah in that category, as well as Tori Amos and Fiona Apple.

I don't have everything by her; right now, I just have two albums, "Pieces of Me" and "Sweet and Wild." I'm listening to S&W right now, and it's a beautiful album. I'm typically not a fan of country, but this is close enough to the pop she used to do that I like it!

And she still is a very sexy woman! I remember I used to have a crush on her in high school. She's not much older than me.
