Hi Chadwick, no it still seems to be enabled, I just can't capture it. I tried a number of methods over the weekend, and nearly captured it at one point, but then got an error toward the end of the stream :? It's a really weird way they've got that site setup, and it's really difficult to capture anything. The only way might be to hope for an uninterrupted sound stream and record the audio as it plays through your computer, but that is usually my least preferred method (normally you can always capture streams somehow....)

I just looked around elsewhere though, and I may have a solution. There's a torrent link on this site, but you need to sign up. The good news is, the recording quality of the KCRW session is far better, than if I captured the stream.
Go here: http://www.dimeadozen.org
Sign up.
Once confirmed, login and then go to "Torrents" --> "Search", and type this in: +marina +kcrw
You'll get a link to what looks like a great recording of it, and hopefully there will be enough seeders :)

Oh, if you don't know how to download a torrent, just install http://www.bittorrent.com

Rob.

thanks again magellan... sounds cool but i'm avoiding torrent programs since some of them are being tracked by DMCA. hopefully they will keep the stream active or she'll release something... the live set she has on iTunes is pretty cool if you haven't listened to it already... not as intimate as the KCRW show though.

Definitely going to check it out Chad.

Meantime, I have had The Family Jewels on high rotation recently. And you, sometimes it takes a fair few listens for you to realize which songs really are the BEST, deepest, most artfully brilliant ones.

And I've figure out that my favourite Marina song of them all is....the final track "Guilty"
Absolutely LOVE this. She could not have finished the album better or more powerfully - a dark, driving, ethereal and epic track...

"Guilty"

Guilty on the run...
And I know...what I have done...

10/10 Marina.

This confirms her, as my #3 favourite female artist from the newer crop of artists.
Only Natasha Khan and Florence Welch are still ahead of her :)

Marina discusses her favourite music videos of all time...

I won't spoil who she mentions. The clip seems like it should include quick clips of each video she mentions, but it doesn't unfortunately.

"numb" is my favorite, so epic, perfect closer. "guilty" comes in second! ; )
