Just to let you know. I had a mild heart attack at the weekend, not a big one, no lights at the end of the tunnel, no angels waiting at the pearly gates telling me I've come to the wrong place and to go to hell. Nothing like that. However, it was enough to scare me shitless!! Very, very painful!!
OK now but just resting. I'm going to take it easy now, no belting up and down motorways, no DIY restoration projects for my Son. Just looking after number one and my better half.
I'm determined to find my bucket list and put it to great effect.

Glad to hear you're doing OK, Quincy. Karine is right, this sort of thing will make you realize how fragile life is, and to be thankful you are alive. Hang in there, keep your spirits up and live like your life depends on it. It does! But eating well and getting daily exercise is a big part of it, I suspect. Listen to plenty of good music and read some good books, too. Enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Check out Sarah's new song and tell us what you think. It's thoughtful. Maybe appropriate, who knows?! I'm not sure where she's going yet, having just now heard it, but it's nice

The U.S. is returning to the bad old days of MaCarthyism, racism, fear and suspicion of the Fifties. I expect the lines will be forming at the border soon to move to your country. I kept waiting for someone to say, as did Joseph Welch during the McCarthy hearings in the Senate in 1954, "have you no sense of decency, sir?", in reference to the tactics of Senator Joe McCarthy, whom Trump has faithfully emulated. I guess the answer is clear, now. We have no sense of decency left in the U.S., apparently.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Senator Joe McCarthy sink to obscurity, just as quickly as he rose to prominence??

For me, the worrying thing is that, here in Europe, other minority far right parties may well look and think "If Donald can do it, then so can we!"
I can see the rise of these far right tendencies grow in some of our.....how can I put it tactfully....Less well educated, less well rounded individuals.

Hopefully the Republican party will keep a tight reign on DJT. I'm not sure they will, or can, but let's hope.
