Sarah in a book... a hot one!
Culo — slang for backside in Spanish – is a 248-page bottoms-up collection of photos and art pieces featuring models and musicians, including Vancouver’s Sarah McLachlan, who Mazzucco first met when he photographed her for the Nettwerk record label early in his career.

“One of the very first photographs I did was Sarah McLachlan,” Mazzucco says on the phone from his home in Montauk. “I had a studio on Beatty Street. From there, I moved to Milan, where I stayed for five years. Then I moved to Holland, then Montreal for a while and now I’ve been in New York for almost 13 years.”

Interestingly, it was an assignment shooting McLachlan that brought him back to Vancouver when the two-year Culo project was getting off the ground.

“She really wanted to be a part of it,” he says. “And timing just allowed us to shoot her for the Culo book, which Jimmy and Diddy were really excited about.”

Carol: I saw that you wrote to the Tumblr "We All Falter" (unless it's another Carol Ciola from Brazil ;) )
I wrote a small message too, yesterday or the day before yesterday, to invite this person to join the board (I can't figure out if it's a woman or a man, because I didn't find his/her name).
I don't know if he/she will register, but it's always fun to welcome a new member. Anyway, it's a great blog!

I thought this message was particular or something, didn't notice that was already at the message board..
I didn't find your message... great idea invite this person! This blog has many funny things about Sarah.
If she/he enjoy the forum, we'll certainly welcome him/her!

I suppose that the owner of the blog receives all the messages in an inbox and decides which one goes online. I wrote that I enjoy the blog and that this person is welcome here if she/he wants to become a member.

Thank you! :D
Both pictures are from "The Essential" CD: the cover and the back of it.

I don't know if you heard about Xavier Dolan' movie, "Mommy".
This movie got the Jury Prize at the last Cannes festival and Xavier Dolan will represent Canada in a bid for the best foreign language film at the Oscars (I hope his movie will be selected for the short list of nominees).
I haven't seen the movie yet, but there's one song by Sarah in it .

He talks a little bit about it here:
http://www.cineplex.com/News/QA-Xavier- ... -Pop-Songs
INTERVIEWER: A lot of the time you just don’t hear songs because people can’t afford them.

XD: We’ve been told by insanely unpopular bands that they were asking for huge amounts of money that we could not afford. We were like, "Honey, please!"

Dido, Beck, Oasis, Sarah McLachlan? No problem. We were very lucky with everyone. It was very nice, and they all asked to see the material. Some of them saw the material, and sent us back requests saying, "You can make it lower. We’ll give it to you at a better price," which is very flattering, and touching

[Anne] Dorval, so good in I KILLED MY MOTHER, is even better as Die. She makes a vivid impression right from the first scene, where a car crash and the Sarah McLachlan song “Building A Mystery” collide.
