I found that in December (2009), Sarah participated in a tie auction for the Vancouver Food Bank.
Here's the picture of her tie:

The bid ended at 146$.

Do you remember "Barefoot in the Backyard with Sarah McLachlan", an event (and concert) for her foundation?
I read something about that night. Oh, I wish I was there!
"THE LIFE OF RICK: Wouldn’t you like to be a fly on Rick Mercer’s wall? Or maybe a button on his lapel? Two Fridays ago he was one of a select few invited to Sarah McLachlan’s lush Vancouver garden, where guests sat on plush divans under Moroccan tents lit by Indian Lanterns and were serenaded by Sarah, Sheryl Crow and dynamic Blue Rodeo duo Jim Cuddy & Greg Keillor at an intimate gathering to celebrate Sarah’s music outreach program for inner-city Vancouver youth."

I really admire how Sarah is always involved in several charity works, I think it's really something we must look up to besides her music. She's really a blessed person who tries to make the difference in others' lifes and she's an example to be followed.
I'd really love to have been on those events Karine described
Bianca.

I would have paid 200 for that tie if I had known. However, I still do not like the color. Anything that Sarah does is priceless and of course, that is my opinion.
