This just popped up on my Google Alerts...
Listen to Songs from King Kong Musical, Including Sarah McLachlan's "What's It Gonna Take?"
You can listen to previews of most of the King Kong Musical songs right here, including Sarah's. It starts somewhere around 0.57 I think.

Thanks! I hope Sarah will record her own version of the song, because I don't plan to see the musical ;)

In this interview (by ET Canada, for Barefoot in the Backyard), Sarah said that she started recording last week and that she hopes to finish her album in December.

Who wants to see some pictures of Sarah working in the studio (in LA last week)? :)

I just read, from Sarah's team, that the new record is due in May. If it's true, that will be a great gift to celebrate the end of my thesis. :D

Maybe she's holding off on the release so you can be finished first. :D That would be a nice "present". We'll have to set up a betting pool on the closest date....

I assume you're returning to France when you're done (soul searching? :)), Karine. It might be just in time to catch a show on her tour then.

If the release is in May, I'll still be in France. If she begins the tour during the summer, I might be lucky enough to catch her in Montreal when I'll be back during summer.

Sarah's personal pep talk on Facebook today :)
I've decided that this is the year of gratitude for me. Its easy to get caught up in all the small bullshit and noise that can really weigh me down- all put into beautiful perspective when I stop and take a good look at my life. I have my health, my wonderful, loving family and great friends, a job that nourishes and rewards me both spiritually and financially, a roof over my head- the positives go on and on. The act of being grateful is, in itself, rewarding and a great way to start ones day. A dear friend recently told me that every morning as he wakes up, he spends a few moments thinking about what he is thankful for and he is one of the happiest people know.xoS

I was speechless after reading. Lovely, as always. Is there anyone in this world who doesn't likes her?

PS.: great, great expectations for this new album, uhn!
