I found this 2004 radio interview with Sarah by Steve Inskeep of NPR, which somebody has no doubt posted before, but if not, here it is:

This is the direct viewer link:

She discusses (and sings, playing a grand piano in the NPR studio) about writing Answer, World on Fire and Dirty Little Secrets, all favorites of mine.

I listen to part of this program while driving to work, and did then as well, but since I only hear a little of a 2 hour show I must have missed this part. If I had heard it then, I'm sure I would have become a fan a lot sooner.

If I could play guitar, I would want a guitar like this one :D

As part of an ongoing partnership with Sun Life Financial, I was commissioned to complete two guitars to honour Sarah McLachlan’s School of Music. The guitars will be used by students at the school during their performances.

Four inner-city schools in Surrey will be home to Sarah McLachlan School of Music programs within the next three years.

Sarah McLachlan is scheduled to appear at the Surrey Arts Centre on Sept. 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. to announce the creation of the programs in the city.

Pictures from a donor event reception for the school of music. Unfortunately, I can't find the date of the event:
