I am very fond of Wintersong. That being said, I am also very fond of her most recent album...but there's no denying the downward spiral.Quincy wrote:Well said, and I agree with nearly everything apart from...LOI is worse than Wintersong???RiverOfLove wrote:I also wanted to say that I think Sarah has become "comfortable" in the kind of music she does.
There's nothing wrong with that, but it's around that time that pop artists tend to lose their creativity.
When Sarah released Fumbling, and Surfacing, she was in her creative peak. She was trying to make a name for herself, and she did. Ever since then, each album has been less than the one prior.
Surfacing > Afterglow
Afterglow > Wintersong
Wintersong > The Laws Of Illusion
If she wants to get back in her creative peak, she has to have that "taste for success" again. And I think Sarah is feeling perfectly content writing songs she's comfortable with. They're not bad songs, but they don't stack up to her 80's and 90's output.
I've said in an earlier post that LOI is sitting comfortably with me and you're right there's nothing wrong with that.

Interesting theory. I completely agree.RiverOfLove wrote:If she wants to get back in her creative peak, she has to have that "taste for success" again.

It seems to be a smaller company. I hope they'll do great job promoting Sarah's music! Thanks for sharing.sarahfan4life wrote:it seems sarah is under the new management of Micks Management
