I've had a little time to think lately (And now that I'm "officially" no longer alcohol dependent, I can think clearly.) and I was thinking:
Was Sarah's Birth mother musically gifted?
&
How come there were record company exec's at the Dalhousie University, Halifax, when SMcL sang, as I understand, here first gig with "The October Game" back in, what, 1985?
I was told by somebody who knew her then that she was "spotted" as a talent several months before that first gig. So were they lying in wait?? There's not that many people who get offered a record contract after 1 gig!!
&
Why did the members of The October Game threaten to take legal action against her?

Re: Question....
I believe that Mark Jowett (sp?), one of the founders of Nettwerk was in the band that was on the bill with the October Game and that's how they found her. Moev i believe? She also did some guest vocals on some of their songs.
Re: Question....
The only thing I know about Sarah's birth mother is that like her, she's also into jewelry design. But I can't remember where I came across that info...Quincy wrote:Was Sarah's Birth mother musically gifted?

If you get a chance to read or buy the book Nettwerk-25 years of music we love, you will find some of your answers to those questions. I don't want to spill the beans so look for that book.
