Oh That Song
Oh That Song
We all like Sarah or we wouldn't be here and you can be assured that I like her without question. However, is there one song that just did not cut it with you. That one song that didn't make you smile or didn't do much to pick you up. Mine comes from the album Bloom. Fallen, is by itself a good tune but not in the disco way. Too much boom-boom and I guess I am not the cluber so to speak.
Re: Oh That Song
Afterglow (as an album) just doesn't do anything for me and it's my least favorite Sarah album. It's simply too commercial for my taste. Answer is the strongest track in that album and I really love that song. Fallen, Time, & Dirty Little Secret are good but Train Wreck & Push are major disappointments imho.
One little leaf adrift in the breeze, refuses to fall from the sky
Blown by the wind it clings to the tree, unwilling to wither and die...

I love Trainwreck from Afterglow, I just had to say that. If I had to pick it would be Aida, I feel like its done too much all the time just as Angel is. I like Surfacing but those two and sometimes Witness make me feel ambivalent.
To fall so deep into you
Lose myself completely
In your sweet embrace
All my pains erased
And your mouth is all that I wish
Mercy of your lips
Just one kiss
Until I can breathe again
Until I can sing again
‘Cause I'm a trainwreck
Waiting to happen
Waiting for someone to come
Pick me up off the tracks
The wildfire born of frustration
Born of the one love that gets me so high
I've no fear at all
Lose myself completely
In your sweet embrace
All my pains erased
And your mouth is all that I wish
Mercy of your lips
Just one kiss
Until I can breathe again
Until I can sing again
‘Cause I'm a trainwreck
Waiting to happen
Waiting for someone to come
Pick me up off the tracks
The wildfire born of frustration
Born of the one love that gets me so high
I've no fear at all

I am not really into "Building A Mystery".

^^^ I am not into the remixes either. I feel like it ruins it.
Re: Oh That Song
"Bloom" is the only album I haven't bought and I never will. The track I won't play is "I love You". It freaks me out, it's not even on my Ipod. I've tried to like it, but no.
Re: Oh That Song
there's usually a song or two that i skip on each record... i don't really count the remix or compilation records.
most of the time i skip over songs because i've heard them too much but here are some that never did much for me to begin with.
mercy
circle
train wreck
stupid (don't mind it on occasion)
trust

Re: Oh That Song
I would like to mention the song, The Waiting. From an earlier time, I find this song a real jem and why hasn't it been on one of her albums. Especially the version with harp. Are there other songs that are little known out there sung by Sarah.
