Re: What do you think of the Album?
i've listened to it several times in full and it's pleasant. aside from a few songs (still don't know their names too well), nothing really stuck out, or has drawn me for multiple re-listens. The only exception is SFMF, mainly for its lovely picked-guitar melody -- i'm still not sure about the horn ...

Re: New album news
i think this whole style debate about old versus new with an established artist is brought up on every forum i read. there are definitely two camps, and one usually criticizes the others' way of thinking. like most of us here, i think we all fall into the culture of sarah mclachlan so we have apprec...

Re: New album news
iTunes has the 90-second clips up. i know the full record is streaming but we now have a glimpse of "little B" and "what its gonna take." even though we heard the latter song a year or so ago, it sounds like a new recording -- purely acoustic, which makes me happy. the melody was pretty but i didn't...

Re: New album news
listened to the clips. i really liked "song for my father" and "the sound that love makes." SFMF sounds beautiful. i love the finger picked guitar -- it does remind me of dido's quiet times, which was also written after her father's passing. didn't sarah's father introduce her to cat stevens, simon ...

Re: "In Your Shoes" 1st single
i like that she works with the kids, and the school stands for a cause that is greatly needed. i would like to see more of sarah this time around though. LOI passed by so quick that she was gone in a hot minute -- and that wasn't cool after a long wait since afterglow (not counting wintersong). i de...

Re: "In Your Shoes" 1st single
i haven't been too impressed with the output thus far for this album -- but again, i think it requires a few more listens. BG is my favorite of the 3 released thus far. the bonus track that was written and released for "king kong" was okay -- i thought it was too glossy. i won't say anything about t...

i have to add this to caleb's list of live links. one of my favorite performances from her... and the best version of this song IMO!

Re: Solace songs that didn't make the cut
they use to be available here for download, but i believe the webmaster received a 'cease and desist' letter from the label asking to remove them. i remember the early demo of 'lost' but can't really remember the other ones. 'solace' still remains one of my favorites from sarah.
