Also, Sarah’s video for World On Fire and Adia were part of a study…

Study participants were shown a music video by Canadian artist Sarah McLachlan, in which it’s described that all but $15 of the $150,000 budget for a video was donated to various international charities.

A second group was shown McLachlan’s Adia video, which pictured her singing in front of various cityscapes — a pleasing, yet not uncommonly good act.

PSA Campaign Launches During Nat Geo WILD’s First Annual Big Cat Week Beginning Monday, December 6, 2010

WASHINGTON, Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Another celebrity causing an uproar? This time, it’s not reckless antics or drunken escapades! In a new PSA launching Monday, December 6, 2010, during Nat Geo WILD’s Big Cat Week, celebrities including musicians Sarah McLachlan and David Archuletta, “Bones” actors Tamara Taylor and John Francis Daley, and “The Simpsons” Yeardley Smith join forces to “cause an uproar” in support of big cats, which are disappearing at alarming rates.

And last:

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is getting a publicity boost from singer Sarah McLachlan as the agency copes with a decrease in food donations and an increase in demand.

McLachlan and philanthropist Alison Lawton were on hand at a Vancouver free barbecue in Oppenheimer Park to help draw attention to a 22-per-cent drop in donations of non-perishable food items compared to 2009.

Giving back is what the season is about, but not enough people are stepping up, McLachlan said.

“Some people forget or feel paralyzed thinking that little gesture is not going to make a difference,” McLachlan told CBC News. “But if 100,000 people think that little gesture isn’t going to make a difference and don’t do anything then that makes a huge impact.”
