The updates just keep on coming: the release date for Shine On has been set on May 6! From both this and this site:
The new album is McLachlan’s first full-length recording of new material in four years and is currently being recorded in Montreal and Vancouver with Sarah’s longtime collaborator/producer Pierre Marchand as well as additional tracks with Bob Rock and Vincent Jones.
“This album is about moving through the second half of my life in a more mindful and meaningful way, recognizing that every day, every moment is precious and though we all have our issues and problems, our damages, we all have the ability to continue to learn, grow from our experiences, thrive and shine on. Many of the songs are inspired at least partially or wholly by my father’s passing three years ago and the profound effect losing him had on me. I had to find my footing again without the anchor of his unconditional love”

Happy birthday Sarah!
A while ago, Karine asked me to translate the German article in the Lufthansa magazine (2013). You can download/preview right here the original file, but I managed to translate the German text to English – which was not always easy! There might be still some errors (thanks to Karine for checking!), but at least you can read the general idea of the article. It’s a nice article which tells a lot about Sarah and her connection with Vancouver.
So, go ahead and download this little file right here – a small birthday present to fans out there from Solaced!

To “welcome” some rookies into the Vancouver Canucks team, 4 players were asked to sing with Sarah. She performed I Will Remember You and they sang with her. It was also part of the Ice & Dice Event, a fundraising event – for the Canucks For Kids Fund, which also is a great supporter for the Sarah McLachlan School Of Music. Check here the article and right here the funny video:
Sarah also performed on friday 13 December with Heart in Vancouver. Heart’s show, called Heart And Friends: Home For The Holidays, also including other artists. Sarah performed All Through The Night with them, to perform then solo and played Angel. After that, Sarah also performed Walking Good with them. Check here for the article!

This article gives a good summary of all that happened yesterday at the CP Holiday Train. And it also has some photos of Sarah performing there! They’ll be up in the gallery asap.
