Sarah posted this on her Twitter (as a reply to someone):
new music will be in 2013 Hannah but there may be a small fall surprise 🙂
Earlier she posted on Facebook about writing a song for the King Kong Musical in January 2013… though I can’t find the exact post anymore, I did find this on WSJ Speakeasy:
If you see Grammy-winning singer Sarah McLachlan climbing the Empire State Building, she may just be looking for inspiration.
McLachlan posted this note on Facebook earlier today: “I am writing a song for the new King Kong musical that debuts jan 2013 xoS”

It’s been quiet here again, but besides the small Sarah news I was also busy with – well almost everything. But here are the updates!
First: the Flight 93 National Memorial Dedication. Sarah performed I Will Remember You and Angel. Both videos can be downloaded at the forum! Here’s the gallery for the performance:
Second: more charity work from Sarah! The 10th annual Music Therapy Ride has an acoustic Yamaha guitar signed by Sarah up as a price. Check for more information right here.
Third: alot of “new” old sound stuff popped up on Youtube. Most of it is from the World Rock cafe in 1994, but there’s also some other stuff. Here is the list and the links to youtube:
Elsewhere (Modern Rock Live, 27 Sept. 1994)
Hold On (WNEW Electric Lady Studios, 07 Sept. 1995)
Good Enough (World Cafe, March 1995)
Wait (World Cafe, March 1995) – this version is also available in the Multimedia section already.
Ice (World Cafe, March 1995)
Last but not least, Sarah posted this on Twitter & Facebook: “Great 3 days in the studio writing with Matt Morris”. Also, here it is said Matt Morris will begin co-writing on the forthcoming Sarah McLachlan record!!
And that’s it for today!

Just check out this amazing article of which I’m only going to quote this:
McLachlan’s children are old enough to have a sense of independence, she is single again, is back on tour, aims to write for an album that will be released next year that won’t be a collaboration with her producer of 20 years, Pierre Marchand, and has a new manager, Michael McDonald, whom she praises for his ethics.
