Sarah will perform on May 15 in San Francisco at the Acoustic-4-a-Cure benefit and on July 01 in Edmonton for the Canada 150 Event!

About the Acoustic-4-a-Cure benefit:

Sarah McLachlan and Pat Benatar will provide some girl power at the fourth annual Acoustic-4-a-Cure benefit concert, scheduled for May 15 in San Francisco.

The concert is the brainchild of rockers Sammy Hagar and James Hetfield of Metallica, and raises money for pediatric cancer research at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. The show historically has featured artists performing acoustically, and includes unique duets, jams and surprise guest appearances.

And for the Canada 150 Event:

Canadian Music Hall of Fame singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan will perform at Rogers Place in Edmonton as Canada celebrates its 150th birthday on July 1.

McLachlan’s appearance will be part of the finale of Canada150in150, a project designed to showcase Albertans’ ideas, experiences and stories.

On March 7, Sarah donated a guitar to the Vancouver Public Library!

The instrument lending library received another 30 musical instruments from members of the public during an instrument drive, so the collection is now approaching 200 guitars, drums, mandolins and other instruments.

‘Wonderland’ is nominated for a Juno Award in the category of ‘Adult Contemporary Album of the Year’!

Sarah McLachlan is one of the most celebrated singer songwriters in entertainment with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. She is a ten-time JUNO Award winner and a three-time Grammy Award winner. McLachlan’s landmark fifth album, the 10x-platinum Surfacing, contained two Grammy Award-winning tracks, “Building a Mystery” and “Last Dance.”

In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians and raised over $7 million for local and national charities. In 2002 McLachlan founded her non-profit organization, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides top quality music instruction at no cost, in a safe and nurturing environment, for at-risk and underserved children and youth. From an early age, music provided McLachlan with the tools she needed to navigate the challenges she faced in her life, so she recognizes how important it is for every child to have those same opportunities.

McLachlan’s latest release is her new 2016 Christmas album Wonderland. Wonderland contains fresh and inspired interpretations of 13 traditional and contemporary holiday classics.

Sarah will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame! It’ll take place during the Junos 2017, which takes place at Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre on April 2.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) is pleased to announce that multi-platinum, award-winning singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan will be the 2017 inductee into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. With a career that spans almost thirty years, McLachlan is one of Canada’s most celebrated and treasured artists, earning countless accolades including 10 JUNO Awards, three Grammy Awards and a Billboard Music Award.

CP: When it comes to Canadian music honours, the Hall of Fame is pretty much the pinnacle. Has it triggered you to reflect on your career?

McLachlan: I’m not particularly reflective. I’m always looking forward … I guess something like this, sure, perhaps on the day — and in the moment — I’ll be a little more reflective than I am now. I’m just too busy living.
