Diana Krall And Friends Give Back

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver’s A-list turned out at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver last night to help superstar musician Diana Krall raise more than $2 million for Vancouver General Hospital and patients with blood-related cancers.

Billed as an evening with Krall, James Taylor, Elton John and Elvis Costello, 550 invitation-only guests attended the event.

Guests heard Krall deliver the world-debut of her arrangement of “Walk on By” from her soon to be released album and then received an impromptu solo performance from fellow guest Sarah McLachlan.

The live auction also turned heads as two bidders each paid $250 thousand for the chance to have their own lyrics set to music penned, performed and recorded by Elton John.
