Canada’s first Hair Awards pay tribute to Canadian celebrity style
VANCOUVER, Nov. 30 /CNW/ – What do Sarah McLachlan, Shalom Harlow and David Suzuki have in common? They are all Canadians with great hair according to AG Professional Hair Care, which just released the results of its AG Best Canadian Hair Awards for 2000.
The AG team of stylists across Canada, from Vancouver to Ottawa, voted for their favourite celebrity “dos” for the AG Best Canadian Hair Awards. And while their looks might be hair today and gone tomorrow, there is one thing all the stylists agreed upon: 2000 was a good year for hair.
And, the winners of the AG Best Canadian Hair Awards 2000 are:

Sarah McLachlan
Best New Hair Style

“Canadians have an amazing sense of style and are often seen as trendsetters all over the world, although we don’t acknowledge it often,” says Corinne Spitznagel, AG’s inhouse head of style. “We created the AG Best Canadian Hair Awards to pay tribute to Canadian style.”
It was a terrific year for hair. The hot looks this year for women were underplayed, tasselled – but not messy – short and medium shags. It was an exciting year for men too with the return of a longer retro 60s style.
Vancouver-based AG Professional Hair Care Products creates a full line of more than 30 original high quality hair care products that includes: shampoos, conditioners, styling products, finishing products and perms. The entire AG line is available in fine salons throughout Canada, and selected US states.
