Sarah McLachlan to perform at Kettering Medical Center Heart to Heart Gala
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter to be accompanied by Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra for 25th anniversary event
Kettering Medical Center will mark the 25th anniversary of its Heart to Heart Gala with a concert featuring the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Grammy-Award winning singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan.
Tickets for the festive event, slated for Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, will be priced starting at $25 and will go on sale July 1 at Ticket Center Stage (www.ticketcenterstage.com).
McLachlan, a three-time Grammy Award winner, has sold over 40 million recordings worldwide since her recording career began in 1988 with her debut album “Touch.” In 1998, she received the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Visionary Award for advancing the careers of women in music. In 2003, the singer founded the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach Program to provide free music education classes to inner city youths whose school music programs have been reduced or abolished by budget cuts.
The event raises funds to benefit cardiac programs and has raised more than $6.5 million over the years.
