5 Years of Solaced

Exactly 5 years ago I first registered the domain Solaced.nl, in the hope to put a nice Sarah McLachlan fansite online. Now, 5 years later, not only the domain has changed – because of server and hosting problems – but the layout and the content also changed. With the help of all the people on the forum (Sarahboards.com too!) I could maintain this website with the latest news, but also with rare recordings or bootlegs, new shiny pictures and tour information/setlists. I’m very grateful for all those people and couldn’t do this all without you guys!
Today is Solaced’s birthday and I actually can’t believe it’s 5 years old – it sure feels like just a year or something. For those who are interested, I put this small graphic together which shows every layout Solaced has gone through (in those 5 years I’ve learned alot about website designing/graphical designing, so the first layouts look quite stupid now for me, haha)
Again I would like to thank all the members/old members from both boards (Sarahboards and the current one). You guys are amazing!

happy birthday to this site i am so happy you kept it running and I cannot wait for a new Sarah album so you can keep us updated on appearances etc its really hard to find sarah updates on the internets nowadays

It’s been an incredible vehicle for getting to know Sarah’s work over the years, and is my favorite website in the world (much more interesting, candid and balanced than Sarah’s homepage, however lovely that is!). It is a Happy number 5 but let us take into account all the work you did Ellen. You are the main drive here and we are your wheel. Sarah would be proud to see what you have done. And remember, you brought all of us together to create a family in support of Sarah. for that, I thank you and HOPE you will stay with us for some time. Love you.
