Here are two more interviews with Sarah about her & Shine On!

From BlogHer (read it fully here):

Some musicians mean more to us than a catchy tune on a hot summer day. Some come into our lives with one album, an album that gets left on repeat for months—even years. We grow and process and change as we listen to the music on the album. And then? A new one comes out a few years later. The artist has grown and changed, and so have we. Rinse, repeat as the years pass, the albums continue to be released, and both artist and self grow and change and mature and feel and live life. Sarah McLachlan is that singer/songwriter for me, and her albums have journeyed with me throughout my life. I was thrilled to get to interview her about her new album, Shine On, motherhood, feminism, and life.

And this one from She Knows (read it fully here):

Sarah McLachlan, the queen of hauntingly ethereal, emotional ballads is back with a brand new album — and she can’t wait to share her first collection of original music in four years with her fans.

“It was a real crunch to get it done, but I’m really glad I did,” she told us of making the album. “I love it, and I’m proud of it, and I can’t wait for everybody to hear it.”

Also, from o.canada.com:

Big release: Sarah McLachlan (May 6, Shine On)

Big picture: Sarah McLachlan was a world-recognized Canadian singer-songwriter when you could still count them on one hand. The Lilith Fair founder is back with her first studio album in four years. These 11 new tracks prove the 46-year-old Halifax-born artist hasn’t lost her signature voice and songwriting craft. (Hey, not everybody lives on a musical diet of Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry). Standout tracks include Beautiful Girl and Monster — but not the Gaga kind of monster. I’m happy to have McLachlan back, but I also blame her for starting the trend of every other Canuck chanteuse being named Sarah or Sara.

Sarah posted some behind the scene-pictures at Good Morning America, where she also joined a Facebook chat (on the wall of GMA’s Facebook). Here are some highlights of the answers/questions (I’ll be saving them all later!)

Question: If you could perform one of your albums start to finish, what one would you choose?
Reply: Fumbling -SM

Question: Do you, too, cry every time you see the ASPCA commercial?
Reply: I change the channel -SM
