The updates just keep on coming: the release date for Shine On has been set on May 6! From both this and this site:
The new album is McLachlan’s first full-length recording of new material in four years and is currently being recorded in Montreal and Vancouver with Sarah’s longtime collaborator/producer Pierre Marchand as well as additional tracks with Bob Rock and Vincent Jones.
“This album is about moving through the second half of my life in a more mindful and meaningful way, recognizing that every day, every moment is precious and though we all have our issues and problems, our damages, we all have the ability to continue to learn, grow from our experiences, thrive and shine on. Many of the songs are inspired at least partially or wholly by my father’s passing three years ago and the profound effect losing him had on me. I had to find my footing again without the anchor of his unconditional love”

According to this site, Sarah will headline the Live In The Vineyard again (she also did this in 2008, see gallery). This festival will take place between April 3-6 at various venues, of which it’s not clear yet when and where Sarah will play. The website does mention that she will play new material! Tickets to the festival are only available through promotions on radio stations, check their official website for more information.
“I am looking forward to returning to Live In The Vineyard and mixing in some of my new music from my upcoming album,” McLachlan said in a release. “The event has terrific energy and I love having the opportunity to see other musicians and play in this environment.”

Happy birthday Sarah!
A while ago, Karine asked me to translate the German article in the Lufthansa magazine (2013). You can download/preview right here the original file, but I managed to translate the German text to English – which was not always easy! There might be still some errors (thanks to Karine for checking!), but at least you can read the general idea of the article. It’s a nice article which tells a lot about Sarah and her connection with Vancouver.
So, go ahead and download this little file right here – a small birthday present to fans out there from Solaced!
