The Alberta Ballet is going to collaborate with Sarah on a new work based on her music! And, they’re going to use songs from Laws Of Illusion..

Sarah McLachlan is set to collaborate with the Alberta Ballet on a new work based on her music.

Alberta Ballet artistic director Jean Grand-Maître — who has created successful works based on the music of Joni Mitchell and Elton John — said his collaboration with McLachlan will include music from her new album, The Laws of Illusion, to be released in June.

“I’ve picked 40 songs that really inspired me that I find very danceable,” Grand-Maître told CBC News.

Olympic evening gala at Bell centre

Sarah will perform in Montreal, on April 23! The performance, including other artists, is a part of Stanley Cup-style parade for the Olympic Canadian team.

It starts with a trip to Parliament Hill in Ottawa on April 22, then moves to Montreal the following day for the noon-time parade and an evening gala at the Bell Centre, where several of Canada’s top music acts will perform, including Sarah McLachlan, Tom Cochrane, Ginette Reno and the pop group Simple Plan.
